Princess and Prince Goodie Bags

These goodie bags are adorable I must say! The kids LOVED them, the adults too. All the items were dollar store purchases. The tulle I had on hand...you know me:)
The boy bags are from the dollar store too!

Princess Wreath

Princess Party

Allison's 3rd Birthday Party
Princess Theme

The dessert table ta da!! A little overboard some may say, but not us!! 2 cakes, 24 cupcakes, and princess cookies. Not enough if you ask me.

I made a time line of Alli's life...day one to present. I like adding a lot of personal touches. I came up with this idea after I felt the desperate need to buy the pink sparkly clothes pins for $1.

The Castle Cake I made. Yes, it is a tiny bit tilted. Yes, it makes me sad. Yes, someone felt the urge and told me. Am I over it...eventually. Alli told me it looked like a snowman. My bro later told me because of the 3 tiers. That girl cracks me up.
I made these cupcake toppers out of gum paste and fondant. I felt the need to make something blue for the boys.
Here is the birthday girl amongst her many many gifts!
These party favors were soo fun to make. Combine anything with tulle and I'm in. Tons of stuff from the dollar section at walmart, and if you already kinda know me I had plenty of tulle on hand.
I loved my Princess Bouquet. $7 flowers with added wands from the $ section at Target. The flower's on the table came in a big bag for $1 at Micheal's. I used em on the dessert table too!
Love adding bling to anything and everything! Added it the silverware, was so happy someone asked about it! It's the little details she said, and I couldn't agree more.

I LOVE my wreath! I received a TON of compliments on it. It was fun to make as well. She will be able to keep this as she grows, that's why I choose not to put a 3 on it. I had it out for the party, now it's on her bedroom door.
Here you can see Alli sneaking cake behind the carriage (which I found at Hobby Lobby for $15)
The party was a success!!

Easter cake truffles

Yummy Easter treat!

Love the colors!

Love a treat in a basket!

These are probably the roundest, prettiest cake pops yet!
Even though I'm  making truffles I dip and decorate on the stick. Then I just toss the stick. You can either put the candy melt in the microwave or on the stove. The pink worked fine in the microwave, but the blue didn't. WHY?? I have no idea, Maybe because it's a darker color. (word on the street) Anyway follow directions on back of the candy melt closey. You do not want to burn the melts! Then they are no good.
I have been doing cake pops for years and I'm always trying new things. I was using crisco for a while to thin out the melts, but for these I did not, and I love them.

SUPER BOWL

SUPER BOWL!!

I'll be honest I didnt even know who was playing til today...oops. My boyfriend asked if I wanted the 49ers or the Panthers to win? I seriously debated in my head, and replied, 49ers! Wrong! Double oops. Anywho, I'm more worried about what to eat?!? This year I'm on a budget, who am I kidding, I'm always on a budget. So, what to make without making much of an impact on my wallet? Phil suggested buffalo chicken dip.

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/buffalo-chicken-dip/

I already had the canned chicken, Shnucks had ranch $1.00 a bottle when you buy 4, oh yeah you better believe I bought 4! This family loves ranch:) Shredded cheese, 2 packs of cream cheese, and franks hot sauce. Franks is by far the best hot sauce. Oh, and don't forget the chips and celery for dipping. This cost me around $15. Not too shabby. This is so easy too!

This is cheap, quick, and easy=perfect
Drain chicken (2 10 ounce cans)
Place chicken and hot sauce in saucepan, medium heat (3/4 cup)
Heat and mix well
Add ranch and cream cheese (1 cup)
Heat and mix well
Add cheese  (1 1/2 cup)
Heat and mix well
I let mine cool, then placed in tupperware

This was so quick and easy I decided to make cupcakes and jello
Cupcakes like these cost about $16 at Shnucks
I already had a box of devils food cake mix, frosting, green food coloring, and these cute sugar footballs from another cupcake project.
Which made these kinda free!!

Use frosting tip 2D
Deorating bag, or even a ziploc

Add powered sugar to thicken the frosting, this will make it hold its shape better. Then add green food coloring.
Start on the outer border, angle in, then frost in a circle towards the middle, smaller and smaller.
Then add cute topping!!
They were a huge huge hit! The only pic I took before my battery died, unfortunately I forgot my charger.
I also tried a football jello mold, when I tried to pop em out they fell apart. If anyone has suggestions for that I'd love to hear em!

Hope everyone had a fun and safe super bowl!!

Here is the invite for the Royal celebration! I am kinda obsessed!
I just googled picture of a princess dress to color

I already had this paper at my house...another freebie!

I traced the computer picture onto the thick cardboard to trace with. On Word I typed up the invite, then it took me a few tries to have the paper printed correctly to fit both invites properly. I was able to fit 2 invites on each paper. Then I traced onto the back so pen wouldn't show up on the front of the invite.

I already had a bunch of tulle at my house from last years party. Always have tulle on hand...you never know!
I just cut out small rectangle pieces to wrap around the dress. I used a tab of hot glue to secure it in place.
I also had a spool of cute pick ribbon, I wrapped around the dress waist and tabbed with hot glue. You will burn your fingers, it doesn't bother me anymore. All the years of crafting, you become immune to the pain.

Big hit so far!! Alli told me they are beautiful, and I am a nice mommy! Success!

I bought these gems at Walmart for $3 something. It's actually 4 long strips, so I just used a razor blade to cut them individually. Already had glue on them, and they were the perfect colors!

My fingers once I finished. I just peeled it off and washed my hands, unfortunately it took some of my nail polish as well. Small price to pay for such gorgeous invites!

Love them! I ended up with pink, blue, and purple. This whole project cost me about $8.00! $3 for the gems and $5 for envelopes.
